A brand-new (2024) family winery in the mountain village of Agios Theodoros, reviving a winemaking lineage that founder Fanis Pittalis traces back to 1910, when his great-grandfather first planted vines in the Louveris area. Working old and newly-replanted vineyards above 1,000m in the Pitsilia highlands, the winery released five experimental wines in its debut vintage under a “House of Fanis Pittalis” concept built around a new, unique release each year. One of them — the indigenous-Xynisteri “Heras Alma” — won a Gold Medal at the 2026 Berliner Wine Trophy, remarkably on the winery’s first-ever competition entry, among over 6,300 wines worldwide.
