Commandaria
A traditional Commandaria from Aes Ambelis, made from Xynisteri and Mavro grapes grown on very old, low-yielding vineyards. The grapes are sun-dried for two weeks before production, and the wine is aged in barrel for four years. Commandaria is recognised by the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest manufactured wine in the world, with origins traced back to the 8th century BC. An excellent after-dinner drink, pairing well with desserts, sweet fresh fruit, dried fruit and soft, mild cheese. Best served at 14°C.
